the joy of love: day 6

Day 6 prompt: who they love

For my boys "who they love" is more like "what they love".  This assignment could have included any number of people but at the end of every day, when nothing else matters, they love the following guys regardless of anything else on earth.

The first photo, "Teddy", is B's bear.  Teddy was given to B by an amazing friend a couple years ago and B is not Teddy's first owner.   Oh, if this bear could tell a story.....

Teddy is loved and shows it.  Let's just say that B isn't the most gentle child on earth.  Teddy is missing a chunk from his nose and his fur is, well, chewed and rubbed and loved.  On a level completely different from anything that B can understand yet, we ALL love Teddy.

The second photo is of Keppie and Softie.  Softie is the security blanket that A has had since before he was born.  Our first child had a softie too so when we conceived A, I sent my entire family on a mission to find more softies.  Score!!  At 6 years old, A can still be found rubbing the satin of Softie and even does it in his sleep.  Keppie is the "poster dog" for Keppra, an anti-seizure medicine that A has been taking for almost 4 years.  Keppie was essentially a marketing scheme.  Kids new to Keppra could send off for a Keppie dog.  Keppie arrived in the mail, wearing a guide dog vest, and A immediately fell in love.  A knows that Keppie is for his Keppra so he thinks that, along with the medicine, that Keppie keeps him safe and healthy.

Teddy, Softie, Keppie---EVERYONE knows that if the boys are with you, you better have those three items.  Clothes are optional; "the friends" are a necessity.
