One of the reasons I became interested in photography was because of my own children. I suspect that is probably the case for all photographers who were mothers first. My desire to capture my own children's lives developed into a service for others--a passion of sorts.
Every year my husband participates in a JDRF Ride to Cure in honor of our youngest son. B was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 17 months, 3 years ago this December, and is an inspiration to just about everyone he encounters. B is authentic and true. He is as he portrays, and not just like any other 4 year old. He is different. He's not an old soul like our other son. B lives in the moment and enjoys every single minute.
A flies to Death Valley, CA tomorrow for this weekend's 105 miles Ride to Cure. After his final training ride last weekend, he was relaxing on the back deck and B started playing around his dad's bike. Below are a few of my favorite images from B's little mini-session. See.....he enjoys life to the fullest!
It's really just too bad your kids are soooo camera shy ;)
